BBQ aficionado, Chris Larson, lives to bring people together through food — and to share his deep knowledge of the craft. He needed a new identity that reflected the passion, warmth and authenticity
at the heart of BBQ culture.
The result: a playful, characterful identity for a small business that’s fast becoming a local favourite.
The logo draws inspiration from the mechanical, multi-layered BBQ pits used for slow-cooking meat to perfection. The colour palette evokes the dusky tones of charcoal, glowing embers, wood smoke and freshly prepared food.
Abstract illustrations are shaped by the very materials that fuel a proper BBQ pit — the organic forms of charcoal and wood. The tone of voice blends Chris’s infectious enthusiasm and expertise with his love of community and connection.
